Your Portal
Your portal lives at portal.samoya.com. It is the central hub for your project, where tasks, files, chat, and feedback are managed in one place.
What you see when you log in
The portal home screen shows three sections:
| Section | What it is |
|---|---|
| Tasks | A project board tracking all work. Tasks move through columns as they progress. |
| Chat | A built-in messaging area for project discussions that do not relate to a specific task. |
| Files | A folder for project files and deliverables. |
Each section is shared with your team, so everything is visible to both sides.
What you'll find here
- Tasks and Your Project Board -- How work is tracked, what the board columns mean, and how to review deliverables.
- Files and Deliverables -- Where your project files live and how to access them.
- Portal Messages -- How to use the built-in messaging for project discussions.
- Commenting and Tagging -- How to leave comments, tag the team, and make sure the right people are notified.
- Commenting on Files -- How to leave visual feedback directly on images and documents.
- Approving Deliverables -- How to review and approve work when it is ready.
How it works
The portal is organized around a project board. Every piece of work, from a website revision to a strategy document, moves through the board as a task. Each task has a title, description, and status.
You will receive an invite by email during onboarding. Click the link, create your account, and bookmark the URL for quick access.
Chat
The Chat section on the portal home is for general project discussions. Use it for questions, updates, or conversations that do not relate to a specific task on the board.
Notifications
The portal sends email notifications when tasks are assigned, updated, or when new messages are posted. If notifications are not arriving, check the spam folder or confirm notification preferences in the portal settings.
Leaving feedback
The best way to provide feedback is to comment directly on the relevant task in the portal. This keeps everything organized and prevents details from getting lost across multiple channels.
For detailed guidance on giving effective feedback, see How to Give Feedback.
